Vumba estate, comprising 60 hectares of pastures and 80 hectares of forest, is crossed by several tracks and country roads and also has five small dams. This set of genuinely rural features plus the estate’s isolation from the outside world provides ideal conditions and natural resources for film teams – here they can find peace of spirit, they are protected from outside interference, and they can make use of landscapes without any traces of civilisation that are easily adaptable to any context.

Pastures and Forest

A large part of the property is comprised of 60 hectares of grazing land extending up a valley and where the ewes which produce the milk used to make the "Quinta do Carapinhal" cheese graze. The remaining 80 hectares are covered mostly by forest (oaks and pines), while there are also assorted wooded areas with much diversified flora.

House and Gardens

About 3 km from the valley, and connected to this by country tracks, is the estate house, surrounded by a beautiful forest and a luxurious garden that is filled with colour in spring and autumn.
